The bulk of this army are 15mm GLADIATOR figures, I saw a beautiful Gladiator DBA Crusader army at a show in the mid 1990's and bought it, then bought another one to make it a double army. I have since added a few Essex figures, but have to admit the Gladiator figures are better for this period IMHO. This was at the time the most colourful army I had painted, and lead to me buying a Seljuk Turkish army to fight it, also Gladiator, and now incorporated into my Ottoman army.
As of Early 2001 I have yet to use this army with Armati, so it remains a DBA/DBM army, though I am sure before the year is out I shall have gotten around to it.......

My mighty Gladiator Crusaders Painted late 1990's, photo May 2001 with Fuji Reala, excellent film for closeups. Not bad for 15mm figures are they? |
